Staff Accountant
Fully Remote

CST preferred ,but not required
Compensation: 65-80K, with a 5% annual bonus
Opportunity Overview
The Staff Accountant provides accounting support across either the Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable functions while assisting with general ledger activities and the
monthly close process. This position is intentionally designed to be cross-trained across multiple accounting disciplines, allowing the individual to support either the procure-to-
pay or order-to-cash process based on business needs.
The Staff Accountant partners with internal departments, customers, and vendors to ensure transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company
policies. This position reports to the Controller.
Essential Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Billing
Prepare and distribute customer invoices.
Assist with customer and project setup within financial systems.
Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with collections activities.
Apply customer cash receipts accurately and timely.
Resolve customer billing questions and discrepancies.
Assist with account reconciliations related to accounts receivable.
Accounts Payable
Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
Maintain vendor records and documentation.
Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox and respond to vendor inquiries.
Process employee expense reports.
Administer corporate credit card and expense management systems.
Ensure invoices are coded appropriately and routed for approval.
Accounting Support
Assist with account reconciliations.
Prepare journal entries as assigned.
Support month-end close activities.
Maintain supporting schedules and documentation.
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
Customer & Vendor Administration
Maintain customer and vendor master files.
Support onboarding of new customers and vendors.
Ensure required documentation is complete and maintained.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency.
Assist with implementation of new accounting procedures and systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of accounting processes.
Team Collaboration
Partner with internal departments to resolve billing, payment, and accounting
questions.
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Support the accounting team during audits and other special projects.
Ad-hoc Projects
Assist the Controller and Senior Accountant with special projects and other
accounting initiatives as assigned.
To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
1–3 years of accounting experience
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
