We are seeking a Staff Change and Program Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs, This role is hybrid in San Diego, CA.


This position plays a critical role in enabling delivery of outcomes with speed, driving change with excellence, and scaling impact across the People & Places (P&P) organization. This role leads high-priority programs such as building manager capability, designing the workforce and workplace of the future, enabling career growth, and transforming HR technology. The position partners with cross-functional groups, sponsors, and leadership to drive execution, manage risks, and ensure successful business outcomes.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop program and portfolio management plans and roadmaps with specific milestones, and track progress against outcomes.
  • Drive execution across all workstreams, ensuring ownership and delivery with speed and excellence.
  • Assess the impact of organizational, process, and technology changes; develop and implement change management approaches.
  • Define and manage operational mechanisms, tracking tools, escalation paths, and processes to foster shared accountability.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as needed to enable rapid execution.
  • Provide regular updates to sponsors and P&P leadership on program progress and outcomes.
  • Facilitate decision-making by identifying tradeoffs, presenting data-driven recommendations, and supporting stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with Technology, Legal, Communications, and business units on cross-functional program execution.
  • Contribute thought leadership by anticipating risks and providing proactive guidance to sponsors and directors.
  • Serve as a role model for change leadership, building organizational capability in change management.
  • Drive continuous improvement across programs and portfolios to accelerate outcomes.
  • Foster collaboration, shared accountability, and alignment of program goals with organizational strategy.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent work experience considered).
  • 4+ years of program management experience in a SaaS-based technology company, with cross-functional program leadership.
  • Experience with HR and employee programs; technical aptitude preferred.
  • Strong understanding of talent and performance management processes and supporting technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to earn stakeholder trust, motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and deliver results in ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills; ability to execute without direct authority.
  • Skilled communicator and effective presenter, negotiator, and collaborator across all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and change management skills.
  • Comfortable operating across tactical and strategic levels, with the ability to adapt in rapidly changing environments.
  • Expertise in creating program plans, roadmaps, dashboards, presentations, and communications for diverse audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency with Smartsheet and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with project management, lifecycle management, and Agile tools.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to synthesize information into concise, actionable insights.
