Job description

Our Customer is a tech real-estate marketplace company with a portfolio of the largest and most vibrant real estate and home-related brands on the web and mobile. The company’s brands focus on all stages of the home lifecycle: renting, buying, selling, financing and home improvement. They are committed to empowering consumers with unparalleled data, inspiration and knowledge around homes, and connecting them with the right local professionals to help.

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager on a contract basis to support fast-paced, low-spend, high-turnaround procurement needs. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment and can act as a reliable execution engine across multiple sourcing categories. The ideal candidate will not only be a sourcing expert but also a strong communicator and a disciplined organizer, capable of creating clarity for stakeholders, maintaining clean records, and ensuring seamless collaboration through Slack and their ticketing system. This role is 100% remote, Mon–Fri 8:00am–5:00pm in your local time zone, with core availability required between 10:00am and 2:00pm PST.

Responsibilities:

  • Own rapid-turnaround sourcing requests with minimal guidance and ensure timely execution while maintaining sourcing and compliance standards.
  • Serve as point of contact and operational lead for multiple sourcing requests across Technology, Marketing, M&A, and People teams.
  • Proactively manage and clean up sourcing tickets in tools such as Workday and ServiceNow; ensure accuracy, completeness, and updates are consistently maintained.
  • Drive visibility and alignment with business owners and working groups through regular updates, Slack communications, and stakeholder check-ins.
  • Lead sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs), contract negotiations, and vendor onboarding for tactical and strategic needs.
  • Deliver real-time updates and maintain transparency for stakeholders on sourcing progress, bottlenecks, and resolution paths.
  • Support spend forecasting, supplier rationalization, and alignment with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Security.
  • Use your bias for action to streamline communication, increase ticket resolution velocity, and surface insights from fragmented stakeholder input.
  • Implement best practices in supplier communications, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Continuously identify process improvements that increase throughput without sacrificing compliance or value.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 9 years of experience in sourcing or procurement; experience in fast-paced or tech environments required.
  • Proven ability to execute multiple low-to-mid complexity sourcing transactions quickly and accurately.
  • Experience working with Workday or similar strategic sourcing platforms; ServiceNow familiarity is required.
  • Adept at managing ticketing workflows, maintaining clean data trails, and closing loops with stakeholders in tools like Slack and ticketing portals.
  • Strong track record in RFP/RFQ execution, contract review coordination, and vendor evaluation.
  • Ability to multitask across sourcing categories with urgency, precision, and composure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to tailor updates for execs, legal, finance, and functional teams.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability, especially in a contingent or temporary worker setting.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to create structure where it’s missing.

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.
