Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager on a contract basis who will support the Customer’s business needs. This is a chance for a highly motivated person with professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and contract management. The role will focus on strategic sourcing management, contract management, and negotiations, and ongoing Source-to-Pay support. This role is 100% remote.

This individual will support HR, Finance and Professional Services Projects and Teams teams ensuring alignment with source-to-pay processes, procedures and policies with a heavy focus on driving Savings. The position will report to the Sourcing Lead. We ask that you have a continuous improvement philosophy, strong relationship building and management skills, and ability to share thoughtful education with key stakeholders while maintaining receptiveness with key collaborators on best practices and market trends.

What You'll Do:
  • Support HR, Finance and Professional Services Projects and Teams with Strategic Sourcing Projects, Contract Management, and Negotiations
  • Review incoming and ongoing vendor engagement and contract requests. Support requestors through the source-to-pay process
  • Support Assigned Sourcing Projects through a traditional 7-step sourcing process, alignment with company sourcing policies, and use of appropriate sourcing tools
  • Work to proactively identify opportunities to reduce costs and drive both Hard and Soft Savings and additional Value to Contracts and Vendor Relationships within these Categories
  • Ensure alignment with category strategy and corporate policies through continuous dialogue with category, procurement, and business stakeholder leads
  • Inform category lead(s) with insights into sourcing and contract trends
Must-haves:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited top tier university
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement, strategic sourcing project management, and/or contract management or business affairs experience, preferably in a high-growth technology environment
  • Experience supporting Professional Services, HR, and Finance Projects and Teams
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited top tier university
  • Experience with Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay Practices
  • Ability to align cross-functional sourcing needs amongst Sourcing, Legal, and other risk-based teams and requirements with business stakeholders and projects
  • Superior relationship building, relationship management, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Communicates effectively, listens carefully, and seeks and values different perspectives of others
  • Experience using Procurement and Sourcing Tools such as SCOUT, COUPA, Oracle, etc.
