Job description
Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.
We are seeking a Streaming Communications Coordinator on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in New York City.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate PR efforts in partnership with campaign leads.
- Update team roadmaps and documentation.
- Track media coverage and create campaign summary reports.
- Draft press releases, media pitches, messaging, and PR strategy documents.
- Research new press contacts and create contact lists for campaigns.
- Research executive thought leadership opportunities.
- Attend meetings and take notes.
- Collaborate on campaign strategy and execute assigned projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- PR background or internship experience supporting a PR team.
- Experience drafting press materials, including press releases and media pitches.
- Experience researching and building media and press lists.
- Experience compiling press materials.
- Experience using press databases, including Muck Rack.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Experience creating PowerPoint presentations and campaign summary decks.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects.
- Experience researching reporters and media contacts.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to resolve problems tactfully.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and time constraints.
- Team-oriented with the ability to adapt to different situations.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
- Self-starter mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Cision.
