Job description
Our Customer is an American worldwise clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are availabile in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.
We are seeking a Studio and Merchandise Assistant on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA (Waterfront/Market Street).
The Studio & Merchandise Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the creative studio and visual merchandising team. This position ensures a smooth workflow by managing and checking in samples, maintaining studio organization, and assisting with administrative and day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize seasonal product samples for use by the creative studio and visual merchandising team.
- Track sample arrivals, maintain accurate records, and communicate any delays or issues to the appropriate teams.
- Assemble and maintain sample racks and closets to ensure accessibility and organization.
- Support studio set preparation and maintain overall studio cleanliness and efficiency.
- Assist with seasonal projects and coordinate sample donations in collaboration with the visual merchandising team.
- Prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and support team goals.
- Support with photographing studio(run this through Copolit)
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in retail, studio, or sample management preferred.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, email, and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- ·Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail, especially regarding data accuracy.
