The Mom Project is excited to partner with Grainger in their search for a Supplier Performance Analyst. This role is a hybrid setup with 3 days remote and 2 days onsite at Grainger's office in Lake Forest, IL.

The Supplier Performance Analyst works with medium to small-sized suppliers, presenting moderate potential risk to Grainger's business and customers. Individuals in this role are expected to coach their aligned suppliers on how to support Grainger's purchasing requirements, to monitor their suppliers' shipping performance to manage risk to customers, and to partner to improve supplier performance. You will work and manage the communication between our suppliers and team members. You will report to the Senior Manager, Supplier Performance Management.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to implement opportunities to reduce supply chain costs and improve the customer fulfillment experience
- Mitigate risk to Grainger's business and customers by quickly identifying and acting to resolve supply chain issues caused by high-impact suppliers
- Build working relationships with important internal and supplier partners, across organizational levels, to effectively resolve issues, champion new ideas, and continuous improvement
- Use data, analytics, and broad business knowledge to identify, prioritize, and solve problems or influence decisions improving Grainger and supplier supply chains
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management field preferred
- Manage and influence relationships at all levels to reach shared goals
- Foster collaboration within the team, with partners, and with team members
- Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Management fundamentals, including inventory planning, DC operations, and transportation
- CPM, CPIM, or CSCP certification
- Exposure to SAP and BW is desirable
- Proficient in Excel (can perform complex functions) and Access or other database and reporting tools
