Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a 12-month contract Supply Chain Analyst to help support their business needs.
Location
- Hybrid in Warren, MI (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, validation, and maintenance of breakpoints for service parts and related supply chain activities
- Analyze parts data, inventory positions, demand signals, supplier timing, and implementation dates to identify risks and recommend actions
- Review open issues affecting part availability and help coordinate follow-up across supply chain, purchasing, engineering, operations, and related teams
- Track action items, recovery timing, and key decisions to help ensure timely execution
- Communicate updates clearly to internal stakeholders, including issue summaries, timing changes, and recommended next steps
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and supporting documentation
- Escalate supply, timing, or execution risks when customer impact or service disruption is possible
- Help improve processes, reporting, and follow-up routines related to breakpoint management
- Support a fast-paced team environment where priorities may shift based on business needs
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify patterns, and support sound decisions
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in reviewing part, timing, and supply information

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business tools for tracking, reporting, and analysis
- Ability to adapt quickly, manage changing priorities, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, logistics, operations, automotive technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in supply chain, parts planning, inventory analysis, purchasing support, aftersales, dealership operations, or a related business function
- Experience working with detailed data, reports, spreadsheets, or operational tracking tools
- Experience coordinating follow-up across multiple stakeholders or business functions
- Ability to interpret timing, status, and risk information and translate it into clear actions
Preferred Experience
- Experience in automotive service parts, aftersales, dealership fixed operations, or parts planning
- Understanding of the automotive retail or service environment and how parts availability impacts the customer and dealer experience
- Experience supporting parts changes, breakpoints, supersession activity, or related implementation work
- Experience working with supplier timing, recovery plans, or material availability issues
- Familiarity with Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) or a similar aftermarket/service parts organization
