We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Coordinator on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid in Huntersville, NC. The schedule is remote M/F 8 am - 5 pm ET and on site Tues-Thurs 8 - 5 pm ET.
Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Planning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the execution of Supply Chain Planning activities, inventory management processes, supplier coordination, and merchandising operations. This role serves as a critical link between Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Merchandising, DC Operations, and Suppliers to ensure accurate system data, timely product availability, and efficient inventory flow.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting key Planning and Operational processes.
Must Have:
• 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement, Operations, or a related function.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Experience supporting S&OP/SIOP processes.
• APICS/ASCM certification or pursuit of certification preferred.
Job Responsibilities
• Create, update, and maintain Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) and related system transactions.
• Coordinate inbound shipment activity and provide container and ASN information for receiving and processing.
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules and coordinate ETA updates for critical projects and inventory needs.
• Review open purchase orders to verify timing, quantities, and SKU alignment.
• Support inventory planning activities through MRP review and waterfall analysis.
• Research and resolve purchase order discrepancies, including GR/IR and invoice reconciliation issues.
• Monitor inactive, discontinued, and low-demand SKUs and support product lifecycle management processes.
• Participate in weekly planning meetings as well as S&OP related meetings.
• Perform Merchandising inventory reconciliation activities for finished goods and components.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks.
• Review discontinued stock and support inventory disposition activities.
• Support inventory optimization initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Process Merchandising production files and maintain supporting documentation.
• Provide Merchandising shipment tracking information and coordinate vendor delivery updates.
• Generate and review Merchandising production, customer order, and delivery reports.
• Maintain Merchandising purchase order dates and ensure system alignment.
• Manage Literature inventory levels and replenishment tracking.
• Coordinate component delivery changes and support expedited inventory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve delivery errors, shipment discrepancies, and vendor-related issues.
• Support Merchandising dashboard maintenance and reporting activities.
• Review BOM and SKU inventory requirements to support project execution and customer service
• Maintain supply chain reports, dashboards, and tracking tools.
• Assist with development and maintenance of supply chain metrics and scorecards.
• Provide analytical support for supply chain and merchandising initiatives
• Collaborate with Planning, Merchandising, Operations, Customer Service, and Suppliers to ensure accurate information flow.
• Communicate inventory constraints, delivery updates, and planning risks to key stakeholders.
• Participate in S&OP-related activities and planning discussions as required
• Other duties as assigned.
