Our customer is seeking a System/Software Technician on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% Onsite at Oakland, CA.


Responsibilities:

Client Labs is an independent team within Client. We explore robotics and automation to transform last mile logistics in the long term. If you have a passion for applying robotics solutions in a service used by millions of people, then we want to talk to you!

  • We're looking for a strong operator to carry out the bring-up, calibration, testing, and logging of new advanced technologies, working inside and outside at a closed course test track in Oakland.
  • In this role, you'll report to the Team Lead and be a core member of our End Of Line Team.
  • Shift: This role requires working Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4pm, with occasional overtime.
  • There may be a need to rotate between shifts to support operational and business needs.
  • There will be a two week notice provided whenever this is needed.
  • This role requires you to be comfortable with riding an electric bike.

Qualification:

  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders to improve the product, including hardware, product, and software.
  • Execute and document tests to verify autonomous technologies, including understanding behavior, product capabilities, new and existing issues, and added requirements.
  • Rigorous attention to process, testing programs, and checklists, ensuring high levels of safety as well as efficiency and reliability of new products.
  • Regularly communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to assess robot behavior and triage issues.

Required:

  • You have 2 years of experience or strong interest in the space.
  • Familiar with automotive and/or computer systems.
  • Strong problem solving, diagnostic, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working outside.
  • Experience and enthusiasm with live Field Operations for deployment of products, bonus if related to autonomous vehicles.
  • Strong organizational and process skills, comfortable with following detailed test plans.
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools to collect feedback, schedule fixes, and track progress.
