Job description

We are seeking a System/Software Technician on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Support distributed computing and telecommunications network operations and procedures
  • Provide support for computer systems, workstations, peripheral equipment, networks, and communications equipment
  • Perform basic programming, documentation, and testing activities
  • Support user software and hardware requirements to ensure uninterrupted system availability and operation
  • Assist in managing and maintaining the local area network (LAN) performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic network and server-related issues
  • Follow established operational procedures and security practices to protect data and information systems


Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training in systems, software, or network support
  • Knowledge of computer operations, programming, documentation, and testing
  • Understanding of computer hardware and software systems
  • Familiarity with telecommunications networks, including transmission, signaling, switching, and routing components
  • Knowledge of data and information system security policies, practices, and tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic network and server issues
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-based environment
