Our Customer is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable contract Systems Business Analyst to manage the day-to-day operations of our support demand planning application. The ideal candidate will provide Level 1 (L1) support, triage support requests, train users on application usage, and collaborate with the application providers to resolve user issues. This role requires an understanding of supply chain systems and processes, as well as the ability to query databases using SQL statements. The Analyst will work with users both in person and remotely making self-starting abilities essential. This role is 100% remote in NYC or Burlingame, CA.


The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting demand planning application, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the operations.ng all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business analyst usually reports to a project manager or director.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the support demand planning application, ensuring smooth functionality and user satisfaction.
  • Provide L1 support and triage support requests to ensure timely resolution of user issues.
  • Train users on how to effectively use the application, enhancing their understanding and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the application provider to resolve complex user issues and improve application performance.
  • Understand supply chain systems and processes to provide informed support and insights.
  • Write SQL statements to query databases, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Work with users both in person and remotely, adapting to different communication styles and needs.
  • Review and approve contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
  • Approve project and work breakdown structures.
  • Review and approve the documentation of business processes.
  • Approve project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
  • Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions.
  • Consult with corporate offices, project managers, auditors, client and sub-consultant representatives regarding future proposals.
  • Prepare sub-agreements and review and input sub-consultant invoices to ensure contact compliance.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, information systems, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in demand planning
  • Proven experience in application support or a similar role.
  • Demand planning environment – as a planner/a systems analyst/
  • Proven experience in application support or a similar role.
  • Demand planning tools experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Strong ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
  • Strong ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience a plus



Preferred:

  • Familiarity with supply chain systems and processes.
  • End to end supply chain experience / demand planning or forecasting
  • Experience in training and user support.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
