Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our customer is looking for a Talent Acquisition Consultant on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote.


Acting as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders, develops and executes effective, position-specific Talent Acquisition strategies to ensure open positions are filled with high-quality talent in a timely fashion. Partners with Hiring Managers and other internal teams across the enterprise to meet talent acquisition business objectives. Advises internal stakeholders on labor strategy, policies, guidelines, and processes as they relate to various areas of Talent Acquisition. Acts as subject matter expert in talent acquisition but also in functional market expertise, industry trends, job knowledge, organizational structure, and ongoing business strategy to support business needs. May serve as the primary point of contact for vendors/suppliers.



Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process with a focus on hiring manager partnership and candidate advocacy
  • Consult with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, workforce forecasts, and requisitions
  • Review and qualify new requisitions, monitor approvals, and escalate issues as needed
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, web research, ATS platforms, and LinkedIn
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Manage day-to-day recruiting operations, including forecasting, requisition management, sourcing, and reporting
  • Track and report weekly recruiting metrics and use data to influence hiring decisions and contingent spend
  • Interview and qualify candidates based on business needs, competencies, and role requirements
  • Maintain accurate status tracking within ATS and VMS systems to ensure reporting integrity
  • Provide value-added recruiting consultation, including compensation guidance based on market trends
  • Promote diversity and inclusive hiring practices in partnership with hiring managers
  • Participate in complex, cross-functional recruiting initiatives requiring initiative and innovation
  • Facilitate Q&A sessions with suppliers for contingent requisitions
  • Screen supplier-submitted candidate profiles and resumes to present qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between hiring managers and suppliers
  • Facilitate onboarding, offboarding, assignment extensions, transfers, and backfills in alignment with compliance standards
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years of recruiting experience
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of workforce and market trends
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Advanced consulting and negotiation skills
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in Boolean search methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of state and federal Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action regulations
  • Experience working with ATS and VMS platforms
  • Experience with Vndly or similar VMS systems preferred
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience serving as a VMS administrator
  • Experience managing contingent workforce programs and supplier partnerships
