Job description

Location: Onsite- Naperville, IL

$27-48/hour

Part-Time, flexible schedule

We are seeking a licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to assist with reviewing and signing off on individual and corporate tax returns during the tax season. Experience with Trusts & Estates is preferred but not required. This is a part-time, flexible role ideal for someone with prior tax preparation experience.

Responsibilities:

Prepare/ review individual and corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance
Sign off on returns in accordance with applicable regulations
Communicate with preparers as needed for clarification or adjustments
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards

Requirements:

Active EA or CPA license
Prior experience reviewing and signing tax returns
Availability during the core tax season as well as the extension season (January-April, August-October)
Strong attention to detail and understanding of current tax laws

Preferred:

• Experience with UltraTax and other Thompson Reuters products preferred but not required.
