Overview

Growing CPA firm seeking a temporary Tax Reviewer with the potential to go full-time for the right candidate.

  1. August 2024: Assist with Spring Tax Season (hours may vary)
  2. September - December 2024: 2-3 days per week as needed.
  3. January 1, 2025 – April 15, 2025: 40-50+ hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct a detailed final review and sign off on prepared individual and corporate tax returns
  2. Prepare individual and corporate tax returns as needed
  3. Review/prepare corporate and individual estimated income tax calculations
  4. Manage a client list of 250+ clients
  5. Prepare written return summaries for each client
  6. Coordinate and conduct clients wrap up calls to present and review returns
  7. Proactively engage with client and respond to ad hoc requests and inquiries
  8. Resolve client inquiries/issues received from the Internal Revenue Service or multi-state authorities
  9. Supervise staff and effectively collaborate with other team members
  10. Assign work to staff, coordinate engagement workflow, and adhere to deadlines
  11. Ability to work independently, within a team and across teams in a fast-paced environment
  12. Identify and offer opportunities for tax planning and other advisory services
  13. Build strong team relationship skills and work as an effective team member to complete project tasks
  14. Build and maintain client relationships and make best-practices recommendations
  15. Regularly meet with partners to keep informed about work status and client issues
  16. Complete additional projects/tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Active CPA license in good standing
  2. 10-15 years of related work experience
  3. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting or equivalent business discipline
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Tax Software Tools
  5. Strong communication and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proficient with CCH ProSystem FX, Karbon and QuickBooks

  1. The selected candidate is required to have a Computer, MS Software, and access to high-speed internet.
