We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote in EST, CST, or PST.
The main function of a Business Analyst is to evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement, and use data to support decision-making. The analyst is responsible for gathering and interpreting data, generating reports, and recommending actionable insights to improve organizational performance. This role requires the ability to draw conclusions from complex datasets and collaborate across teams to implement solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities
- Collect, interpret, and present data to support business decisions
- Translate stakeholder requirements into functional specifications
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
- Support change management efforts by documenting requirements and tracking outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent training required
- 5-7 years of experience
- SQL Knowledge: Strong knowledge of database management software SQL to analyze and interpret data.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Ability to review and interpret data trends and performance metrics to inform business decisions.
- Analytical Tools: experience with analytical tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to analyze and present data.
- Ability to manage existing code, pipelines, and write different analyses
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Strong knowledge of database management software, SQL
- Ability to review and interpret data trends and performance metrics
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Experience with tech companies preferred
