Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.
Our customer is looking for a Data Analyst on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is 100% onsite in Milwaukee, WI.
We are seeking a Workforce Reporting & Analytics Consultant to provide day-to-day support for workforce reporting, data requests, and reporting operations. This role will primarily support our Workday reporting environment while partnering with internal stakeholders to maintain and enhance existing reporting solutions.
The ideal candidate is a strong analyst who enjoys solving business problems, working directly with customers, and translating workforce questions into meaningful data solutions. Experience with Workday reporting is preferred, but we are interested in candidates with strong reporting, BI, database, and customer-facing skills who can quickly learn new platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Support existing workforce reports, dashboards, and recurring reporting processes.
- Partner directly with Business HR, HR Solutions, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, and other internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide reporting solutions.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues, investigate data discrepancies, and validate data quality.
- Maintain and enhance Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields, including Workday Drive and PRISM reports.
- Assist with operational reporting activities, including recurring monthly and weekly reporting processes.
- Create ad hoc analyses and data extracts for business partners.
- Document reporting processes, business definitions, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and platform specialists to improve reporting solutions.
- Contribute to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and workforce analytics initiatives as skills and business needs allow.
- Help identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or modernize existing reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, HR systems, or related fields.
- Experience working directly with business customers and translating requirements into reporting solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with at least one reporting or BI platform such as Power BI, Tableau, Workday Reporting, Cognos, Business Objects, or similar.
- Experience working with large datasets and performing data validation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Experience with Workday Reporting, Composite Reports, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, or Prism Analytics.
- Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or SSIS.
- Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau development.
- Experience supporting HR, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, or People Analytics functions.
- Experience documenting business processes and developing user-facing reporting guidance.
