We are seeking a Technical Project Manager on a contract basis to oversee of project scope definition and management, requirements gathering and documentation, time estimating, project schedule development and tracking, project budget management, project status reporting, issue and risk management, contingency planning, customer interaction, and communications across team management, cross-functional stakeholders, and fellow enterprise pillar teams. This role will also adopt tailored methodologies to deliver operations initiatives within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and resources, while managing risks and impediments along the way. This role is 100% remote PST.
Responsibilities:
- Organize strategic planning on long-term roadmaps and workstream OKRs, and interact with executive stakeholders for status communication
- Collaborate with team leads and business analysts to collect operational metrics, identify KPIs and baselines, design dashboards, and compose executive reports
- Lead discussions on cross-functional issues, brainstorm resolutions, evaluate feasibility, and coordinate implementations
- Strive for operational excellence by ruthless focus on customer satisfaction, empowerment of teammates to take initiatives, and continuous improvement on existing processes
- Own, configure, and administer project tools for ease of use and tracking, and mentor fellow teammates as the subject matter expert on how best to take advantage of them
- Liaise with fellow PMOs to share and learn best project management practices, and to adopt suitable ones for the team’s use
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field (such as CS, CE, MIS, IT) is required
- MS, MBA, or other advanced degree(s) will be preferred
- 8+ years of experience as a hands-on technical project or program manager; formal project training or certificates (like PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM) are highly desirable
- Project & Program Management
- Process Methodology: Well-versed in principles and practice of various methodologies, including Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, Lean, and/or servant leadership
- Execution: Hands-on experience in planning & tracking of OKRs and roadmaps, undertaking continuous process improvement, identifying and managing cross-functional stakeholders, and resolving conflicts to build consensus
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with PPM tools like Asana, Jira, or equivalent, as well as popular productivity tools like Google G Suite and MS Office
- IT Operations: Desirable experience includes executive white-glove services, client device MDM, supply chain management, process optimization, and data-driven decision making
- Data Analytics: Exposure to SQL (Presto, query constructs and functions), data warehousing (Hive), data pipelines, metrics collection & baseline identification, and data visualization (Tableau or equivalent)
- Technology Exposure
- Programming: Highly desirable to be able to conduct code reviews and carry out light development using Python and PowerShell
- Technology Environment: Exposure to basic Windows & Unix commands, web frontend technologies (PHP and JavaScript), SDLC process, DEV environment setup, technology integration, and rule-based systems
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to pick up new concepts and tooling know-how quickly, and self-motivation for continuous learning and independent problem-solving
