Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Sunnyvale, CA.

We need an experienced BI technical project manager to drive and execute our Enterprise Data Warehouse Cloud Migration project. The scope of this project is to migrate the existing EDW data foundation from SQL Server and all reports, dashboards, and analytics onto the Snowflake Cloud platform.

The other objective of the project is to plan and execute change management so that our large cross-functional user base (thousands) is engaged, trained, and informed to adopt the system.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead and drive the project to architect and build data and analytics - drive quality/consistency of data across business functions. You will use your technical and data analytics experience to facilitate and lead different workstreams within the project. You will work with our Enterprise Analytics portfolio owners, developers, analysts, lead SMEs, and cross-functional business stakeholders to migrate EDW data and its reports and analytics to our Snowflake Cloud platform. You will manage the code conversion, data foundation build, and reports and analytics migration efforts. The data objects span across all business functions: finance, sales, marketing, manufacturing operations, supply chain, services, quality, and compliance.

The TPM should be well-versed in business requirements gathering, business stakeholder alignment, managing projects from concept to delivery using a hybrid method of Agile and Waterfall, providing stakeholders status reports, and executing all phases of a project. The TPM will also conduct alignment sessions with the business partners, IT counterparts, and Enterprise Analytics internal teams. He/she should be able to work independently with minimum supervision and provide a structured analytical effort to ongoing and new projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of program deliverables from project inception to implementation and resource oversight
  • Lead the technical delivery, implementation, business change management, and adoption of new scalable and reliable data analytics and business intelligence solutions for cross-department leadership and business teams
  • Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop a detailed project plan and timeline to monitor and track project progress on a daily and weekly basis
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Track and monitor daily tasks and overall progress for multiple workstreams based on functions
  • Collaborate, communicate, and drive with business stakeholders and project team in all phases of the project
  • Manage risks and escalations at the right time and effectively
  • Be able to manage and track deliverables assigned to each team member to ensure delivery completeness before exiting each phase gate
  • Manage changes to the project scope and project schedule using appropriate verification techniques
  • Ability to work directly with business and technical teams to help solve issues, remove roadblocks, and keep all deliverables and timelines on track
  • Assist in the documentation of best practices
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
  • Build and support a collaborative relationship with internal matrix partners
  • At any given time, the TPM should always know overall project health and its current issues, blockers, risks, and mitigations

Skills and Qualifications:
