Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.

We are seeking a Project Manager – SAP / Enterprise Applications on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day execution and coordination of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) projects
  • Own and maintain the project plan, schedule, milestones, and critical path
  • Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation plans throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate tasks across business and IT application teams to ensure timely delivery
  • Support initiatives focused on material master data, including data cleanup, data consolidation, and data quality governance
  • Ensure quality reviews are conducted at appropriate stages of the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate and track User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities without directly performing testing
  • Provide regular project status updates and stakeholder communications
  • Support additional global initiatives as workload allows

Role Focus & Expectations:

This role is for a hands-on IT Application Project Manager who will drive day-to-day execution and coordination of a SAP-related master data initiative, working closely with business and IT stakeholders rather than performing hands-on configuration or testing.

Skills/Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of professional experience with a strong focus on project management
  • Proven experience managing application-side IT projects
  • PMP certification
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 (preferred)
  • Experience supporting SAP or master data–related projects
  • Experience working on GxP or validated projects (preferred)
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules
  • Strong experience managing dependencies, critical paths, milestones, risks, and issues
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across business and IT functions
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and status reporting skills
  • Hands-on project management experience with accountability for execution and delivery
  • No strict project management tool requirement; experience with Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar tools is acceptable
