Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our customer is looking for a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is 100% onsite in Franklin, WI.


JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Project Manager will lead projects from planning through completion. This person will work with business partners to define project goals, timelines, responsibilities, and expected outcomes. They will coordinate project activities, track progress, manage risks and issues, and provide clear updates to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate can manage multiple priorities, organize complex work, and build strong working relationships across teams. They should be comfortable adjusting plans when business needs change and helping stakeholders stay aligned throughout the project.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones
  • Coordinate work across business teams and project partners
  • Track project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Lead project meetings and communicate status to stakeholders
  • Maintain project documentation and action-item tracking
  • Support decision-making and help resolve project roadblocks
  • Ensure project work remains aligned with business goals and expected outcomes

Qualifications

  • Project Management: Delivers projects in alignment to business requirements, specific success criteria, and stakeholder expectations. Plans, manages, and completes projects keeping cost and time considerations in mind.
  • KPIs & Metrics: Measures performance over time by utilizing data collection and analysis methodologies for a specific objective to create strategic and operational improvement, including setting and monitoring desired performance targets. Makes critical decisions based on key figures to improve business outlook and achieve performance targets.
  • Risk Management: Identifies risks and conducts risk analysis, prioritizes risks based on level of severity, ensures appropriate reporting, monitoring and control of risks. Drives recommendations and consulting to work towards a resolution. Provides transparency around risks and communicates status and outcomes to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Relationship: Organizes, influences, monitors, and improves relationships with key stakeholders; systematically identifies stakeholders and analyzes their needs and expectations to support in planning and decision making while implementing various tasks to engage with them.
  • Analytical Thinking: Organizes and compares various aspects of a situation to comprehend and identify key or underlying complex issues through the use of quantitative data and analysis; leverages strong business acumen, problem solving, and interpersonal skills to think critically about situations from multiple perspectives and consistently seeks ways to improve processes.
