Our Customer is seeking a Technical Writer to help support their business needs. This role is onsite in San Diego, CA.
As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in the mission to shape a brighter way for clients, the company and fellow employees. You'll be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation that supports innovative solutions and services. In this position, you'll collaborate with various teams across the globe, embracing the culture of collaboration to ensure that complex technical information is translated into easily understandable content for both internal and external audiences. Your work will directly contribute to the company's commitment to innovation and excellence in the real estate industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, guides, and online help systems.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and product managers to gather and understand technical information.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
- Create and update process flowcharts, diagrams, and other visual aids to enhance understanding.
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, and terminology across all documentation.
- Participate in the review and editing process to maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical writing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the real estate or technology sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in technical writing tools and content management systems.
- Strong ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
- Experience with document version control and collaboration tools.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Experience in the real estate industry or with real estate technology.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other markup languages.
- Experience with API documentation.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools for creating visual aids.
- Additional language skills, particularly in major business languages.
