Our Customer is seeking an IT Support Technician on a contract basis to provide essential technical support to end-users, manage inventory, and assist with basic troubleshooting for both Mac and PC environments.


You will play a key role in ensuring smooth technology operations for the staff while maintaining high standards of customer service.


This role is on-site in Lenexa, KS.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Re-image Mac and PC devices on a daily basis to support upgrades, reuse, and backlog clearance
  • Perform break/fix troubleshooting for laptops, peripherals, and accessories
  • Handle password resets and multi-factor authentication setup and resets
  • Manage shipping and receiving of hardware for new hires and replacement devices
  • Process hardware upgrades and redeployment of reused equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory and asset records within ticketing and asset management systems
  • Perform asset management tasks, including scanning hardware, imaging devices, warranty coordination, stock room maintenance, and physical inventory counts
  • Triage and escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams using ticketing systems, messaging tools, or phone
  • Update, assign, prioritize, and close support tickets in accordance with service standards
  • Create and maintain clear process documentation to support IT operations
  • Learn and follow internal IT processes and procedures to support efficient operations


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience re-imaging both Mac and PC devices
  • Basic knowledge of PC and Mac troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM, or JAMF
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms
  • Prior IT support or technical operations experience
  • Strong internal customer service skills with the ability to manage expectations professionally
  • Experience using ticketing systems for issue tracking and asset management
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for inventory and documentation
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a ticket queue effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and users of varying technical skill levels
