Job description

Our customer is a large United States insurance company that is backed by more than 100 years of experience and provides insurance products and services for businesses and professionals in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, they have more than 20 US locations.


We are seeking a Technology Lifecycle Management Senior Consultant on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% remote, and candidates must be available to work CST/CDT hours.



Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end IT hardware and software lifecycle, including procurement, contract management, renewals, and vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads, Procurement teams, and Suppliers to gather requirements and execute purchases and renewals
  • Lead and coordinate technical and vendor meetings; document and track action items through completion
  • Gather and analyze quote requirements for IT hardware/software purchases and renewals
  • Submit purchase orders (POs) and manage financial tracking, including budgeting, forecasting, invoice approvals, and reporting
  • Maintain and update documentation across systems, including CMDB, contracts, financials, and asset records
  • Track hardware/software maintenance and renewal timelines, proactively initiating renewal processes
  • Research software entitlements and resolve licensing compliance issues in collaboration with relevant teams
  • Investigate and resolve hardware/software issues, including vendor invoice discrepancies
  • Prepare leadership reports, dashboards, and presentations on financials, assets, and operational status
  • Drive operational efficiency improvements through process optimization and best practices
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and ensure alignment across stakeholders
  • Communicate risks, issues, and updates clearly, escalating as needed


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations, procurement, or related fields
  • Strong background in IT contract management, including hardware/software purchasing, renewals, and vendor negotiations
  • Experience working with IT infrastructure (hardware, software, and service providers)
  • Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and reporting
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience with asset management and configuration management databases (CMDB)
  • Proficiency in tools such as Workday, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Experience in identifying and implementing operational efficiencies
