We are seeking a Test Security Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote - EST.
This role will manage cases end-to-end by reviewing and synthesizing evidence such as statistical indicators, test day reports, plagiarism findings, and AI-related reports, and any available supporting documentation or physical evidence. You will apply company policies and legal requirements to reach clear, well-supported determinations, including whether evidence supports score cancellation. You will also communicate professionally with students, parents, and student representatives, including attorneys, counselors, and educators, to ensure timely case resolution and consistent, accurate policy explanation. This role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with fairness and discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Manage investigation cases from intake through final determination and closure while ensuring compliance with timelines and policy standards
- Triage and scope cases by identifying allegation types, evidence requirements, risks, and deadlines
- Collect, review, and synthesize evidence, including documentation, reports, statistical indicators, plagiarism findings, AI-related reports, and stakeholder submissions
- Analyze investigative patterns, irregularities, and data trends to determine alignment with policy-defined misconduct or validity concerns
- Document investigative findings, evidence summaries, rationale, and recommended outcomes within case management systems
- Develop case recommendations aligned with policy and evidentiary standards
- Collaborate with team leads and peers on complex or high-risk investigations
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to gather evidence and resolve open items while maintaining confidentiality
- Track and report case metrics, including status, aging, throughput, and outcomes
- Identify trends, recurring issues, and workflow improvement opportunities
- Support process improvement initiatives related to workflows, templates, documentation standards, and investigation procedures
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with students, parents, educators, and representatives regarding active investigations
- Draft clear written correspondence related to policy, process, case status, and outcomes
- Conduct phone calls, follow-ups, and stakeholder outreach to gather information and clarify documentation
- Maintain accurate communication records and case documentation
- De-escalate sensitive situations while maintaining neutrality and professionalism
- Manage high case volumes while ensuring timely and accurate case resolution
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4-6 years of related experience
- Experience in investigations, compliance, test security, fraud prevention, risk management, or regulated casework environments
- Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing large volumes of cases in fast-paced environments
- Experience with case investigations and casework management
- Strong data analysis skills, including interpreting statistical flags and trends in Excel
- Experience interpreting plagiarism findings and AI-related authorship indicators
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage escalations and sensitive interactions with professionalism and discretion
- Experience working with internal stakeholders, vendors, and third-party partners
- Experience in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate internal systems and workflows
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience in customer service or call center environments preferred
- Experience partnering with legal counsel or working within strict documentation and compliance standards is preferred
