Job description

Our customer is a large United States insurance company that is backed by more than 100 years of experience and provides insurance products and services for businesses and professionals in the United States., Canada and Europe. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, they have more than 20 US locations.


We are seeking a contract Third Party Risk Management Consultant to support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote, but on-site work in Chicago or Louisville is preferred.



Responsibilities:


Third Party Continuous Monitoring

  • Monitor vendor risk signals using platforms such as Supply Wisdom and Black Kite.
  • Analyze trends and anomalies in vendor data to identify emerging risks and escalate as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor risk profiles and ensure timely updates based on intelligence inputs.
  • Coordinate and conduct reassessments for existing vendors based on risk tiering.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to communicate vendor risk insights and reassessment outcomes.

Third Party Assurance

  • Support testing and implementation of ProcessUnity’s Vendor Performance Platform.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive framework, accountability model, and oversight structure for managing the full cycle of key third-party relationships
  • Oversee the entire Third Party lifecycle, ensuring smooth operations from intake and risk assessment through contracting, performance monitoring, and eventual termination or exit
  • Maintain inventory of most strategic suppliers, leveraging approved segmentation guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain supplier management governance documents to include procedures, guidelines, and training aids.
  • Develop and report on risk and performance to Procurement and business leadership
  • Partnering with Procurement to manage Quarterly Business Review (QBR’s) for critical third-party relationships.
  • Act as a liaison for internal and external inquiries related to supplier governance processes.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of Third Party Risk Management and assessment experience
  • Experience developing performance and risk-based metrics

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of ProcessUnity, Workday Strategic Sourcing, Supply Wisdom, Black Kite
  • Ability to produce high-quality presentations that support Senior leader conversations
  • Knowledge of Procurement orchestration tools such as Zip, Omnea, etc.
