We are seeking a Trade Operations Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (4 days on-site and 1 day remote/week) in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Support post-execution trade confirmation and settlement processes for equity and debt instruments
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve trade confirmation and settlement issues
- Liaise daily with internal teams, broker counterparties, and external business partners
- Monitor trade flows and identify execution or confirmation breaks with timely resolution
- Manually process trade executions that fall outside automated systems
- Respond to email and phone inquiries with full ownership for same-day resolution or acknowledgment
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation exceptions raised by reconciliation teams
- Identify and implement measurable continuous improvement opportunities
- Maintain and update operational procedures in alignment with senior staff
- Support system testing initiatives as required
- Assist other operations and related teams as needed
- Mentor junior analysts and provide coverage support to senior analysts
- Perform first-line review and sign-off for start and end-of-day tasks
- Compile and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly management reports
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in trade support within the securities or investment industry
- Strong understanding of financial markets, equity instruments, and debt instruments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify issues and recommend resolutions
- Self-motivated with commitment to ongoing learning and development
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong interpersonal skills across all business levels
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Familiarity with technology systems supporting trading and automation processes
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
