Job Posting: Part-Time Trademark Paralegal
Location: Remote or Hybrid (depending on firm preference)
Schedule: Part-Time (5–10 hours/week)
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Available: Immediately
About Us:
We are an established business firm in New England seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Trademark Paralegal to support our trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and enforcement activities. This role is ideal for someone who is
organized, proactive, and experienced in trademark matters.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file trademark applications, renewals, declarations of use, assignments, and other USPTO filings.
- Conduct preliminary trademark searches and prepare reports.
- Assist with office action responses (non-substantive).
- Maintain and monitor docketing deadlines for domestic and international trademarks.
- Communicate with clients, foreign associates, and the USPTO.
- Assist with enforcement tasks, including cease-and-desist letters and monitoring watch notices.
- Organize and maintain trademark portfolios and related documentation.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of trademark paralegal experience (USPTO experience required; TTAB experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of trademark filing requirements and deadlines.
- Familiarity with trademark docketing software (e.g., Dockettrak, CPI, Alt Legal, DIAMS, Foundation IP, etc.).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and prioritize efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid environment.
