Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing, loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly-owned online bank subsidiary.

We are seeking a Tradeshow Project Manager, Event Marketing & Experiences on a contract basis with expertise in event management practices and superior supplier relationship skills with responsibility for managing internal processes, budget, project timelines, stakeholder meetings, creative development, the system leads, reporting, acquisition tactics and post-event reviews. The candidate in this role will report to the company's SVP, Event Marketing & Experiences, coverage will consist of all key responsibilities related to the management and ownership of the company’s tradeshow program across the company's Home & Auto and Lifestyle platforms. This includes working with marketing and sales teams to strategize, plan, execute, and track the performance of each tradeshow.

This role is 100% remote.

What You’ll Do:

  • As the primary project manager, lead each tradeshow from beginning to end - this includes the initial discovery call, project kick-off meeting, assignment of individual tasks across multiple functions, and eventually, the post-show review session, which includes pulling show metrics
  • Execute a minimum of 50 tradeshows/events over the duration of the assignment
  • Manage multiple events and provide agency-like support for several client teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - this includes the coordination of attendee registrations, booth design/layout, identifying opportunities for giveaways/contests/games, shipments, etc
  • Partner with vendors on managing tradeshow logistics that includes the load-in/out of booth infrastructure, internet, flooring, cleaning services, food & beverage, and technology installs (TVs, digital kiosks, etc.)
  • Identify new trends (with a focus on digital experiences) that can improve the tradeshow experiences for the partners
  • Partner with the Acquisition team to evaluate and execute lead and enrollment activities for each event, with the ongoing expectation that specific events will, at least in part, be measured by these metrics (Metrics include tradeshow traffic, number of leads, etc.)
  • Lead and enrollment activities include but are not limited to managing Tradeshow iPads for digital enrollments, initiating enrollment campaigns in salesforce, managing tradeshow lead tools, driving post-event metrics
  • Build upon existing repeatable processes and procedures to streamline events in an automated way - this includes but is not limited to the creation and management of project plans, agenda templates for team calls, templated on-site agendas, and developing automated processes with vendors
  • Manage suppliers and third-party vendors and provide recommendations for process improvements and expense savings that help ensure we are executing events effectively and efficiently
  • Build upon existing metrics reporting tools to develop processes and reporting that will help with showcasing tradeshow and events trends and results to the business for future planning
  • Ensure adherence to company PO and invoice management procedures, including timely completion of expense reports
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
  • Travel may be expected during the assignment

Must Haves:

  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in the following: Event Marketing, Project Management, or Marketing/Creative agency experience
  • 5+ years of event marketing experience in a financial services institution
  • 5+ years managing projects throughout the entire lifecycle
  • Ability to track record of being self-driven, resourceful, and having a curious mindset
  • Proven ability to successfully manage and implement projects on time and on budget
  • Experience in consumer financial services with exposure to a credit card or retail environment
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM
  • Experience in developing marketing campaigns and creative material that resonates with customers
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems, develop new tactics, and address implementation obstacles
  • Ability to travel during the assignment

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED, and 5+ years of Marketing experience

Hours & Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
