Job description

Our Customer is a leading global, diversified information, services and media company with more than 360 businesses. Its major interests include various financial services, medical information and services businesses, and lastly, ownership in cable television networks such as A&E, HISTORY, Lifetime and ESPN; 33 television stations; 24 daily and 52 weekly newspapers; digital services businesses; and nearly 250 magazines around the world.


Our Customer is seeking a Training Specialist on a contract basis to help support their business needs. This role is on-site in Charlotte, NC.


In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs that empower employees to enhance their skills and achieve organizational goals. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify training needs, create engaging learning materials, and implement innovative solutions. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, building resourceful documentation, and communicating regularly about technologies.



Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions to ensure HTV employees can effectively use the Microsoft Dynamics system in their roles.
  • Maintain and regularly update a SharePoint site with training materials, documentation, FAQs, and announcements related to Microsoft Dynamics for HTV, including new feature alerts and resources.
  • Develop, deliver, and oversee the communication process, ensuring timely updates, relevant information, and alerts about Dynamics are consistently shared with HTV users.
  • Continuously evaluate training effectiveness by gathering feedback from employees and adjusting training methods or content to meet user needs and enhance system adoption.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated user queries (after the Service Desk) related to the Dynamics system, providing support and troubleshooting assistance when necessary.
  • Use Generative AI to enhance training materials, processes & culture. Specifically, use and demonstrate the use of Microsoft Copilot in combination with Dynamics to promote efficiency and productivity.
  • Act as the expert for Microsoft Dynamics


Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years' experience (minimum).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Office 365, and tools for creating training content (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Articulate, Camtasia, or other instructional design tools).
  • Proven experience in delivering both virtual and in-person training sessions and knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to create clear training materials and user-friendly documentation.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple updates, communications, and timelines.
  • Familiarity with and openness to the use of generative AI tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Comfortable working with a global team in multiple time zones.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving software features and organizational needs.
  • A proactive mindset for identifying system-related needs and opportunities for user improvement.
