Job description

Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.


We are seeking a US Networks Analyst on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is a hybrid setup (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) in any of the following locations: Silver Spring, MD, Atlanta, GA, and NYC.


The Analyst will be responsible for leveraging a variety of research resources across media (linear and non-linear platforms) with a focus on Nielsen data to provide data-driven intelligence and consumer insights in support of content strategy, marketing initiatives, competitive analysis, and more.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting needs for the brands, as well as competitive networks, across linear and streaming.
  • Provide strategic research support and insights to senior executives and cross-functional teams, translating complex data into actionable recommendations with the help of the team.
  • Support the integration of Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel methodology into standard reporting workflows, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with evolving industry standards.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in Nielsen measurement methodologies and proactively communicate implications to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with US Networks Research teams to centralize and standardize reporting processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work using third-party vendors, Microsoft tools, and other analysis tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a BS or BA degree required
  • Experience with Excel and PPT: 1-2 years of regular use; Stakeholder presentations and Excel fundamentals.
  • 1-2 years of experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Expertise in Nielsen data and systems, including Big Data + Panel methodology: experience with Nielsen Viewership Measurement. Any exposure to Nielsen Viewership Measurement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting findings to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interest in evolving viewership measurement methodologies and consumer behavior analytics.


Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Lake5, Star Media, Comscore, and VideoAmp is a plus.
  • Experience with using AI for data analysis is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Looker, and Snowflake is a plus
