Job description

We are seeking a User Experience Designer on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing user-centric intranet solutions, preferably with hands-on experience in SharePoint Online, supporting large global organizations. This role will focus on enhancing the user experience of the internal digital platforms, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and IT teams to gather and understand user requirements for intranet and SharePoint Online platforms.
- Design and prototype user interfaces and workflows that improve usability and engagement across global intranet sites.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and refine designs.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard design tools.
- Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards and corporate branding guidelines.
- Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Advocate for best practices in UX design and SharePoint Online usability within the organization.
- Support change management and user adoption initiatives through clear communication and training materials
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a UX Designer, preferably in intranet and SharePoint Online environments.
- Familiarity with basic breakpoints, from mobile to tablet to desktop to ultrawide monitors.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions for large-scale, global organizations.
- Proficiency with SharePoint Online, including understanding of its capabilities and limitations from a UX perspective.
- Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions.
- Skilled in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe software or similar)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a contracting role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in large, complex global organizations.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and SharePoint Online
- Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better collaborate with developers.
