Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our Customer is looking for a UX Content Coordinator on a contract basis to work as part of the Research & Innovation department on the Experience Design (EXD) content strategy team, providing operational support to help enhance and improve user experiences across digital connections and personalized touchpoints. ​This entry-level position is ideal for a dynamic individual who is eager to support content operations, contribute to content creation, and collaborate with UX research and design teams. The Content Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of content-related projects across the employee intranet and HR content ecosystem. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the organization and management of content across various platforms.
  • Ensure content is up-to-date, accurate, and aligns with the brand and style guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to the style guide and assist with the effective use of the content management system (CMS).
  • Contribute to the development of content processes to support a cohesive UX ecosystem.
  • Coordinate with team members to maintain a consistent content calendar.
  • Support content authors across the enterprise by providing training and guidance on content best practices.
  • Develop resources and training materials to aid content authors in achieving high-quality content output.
  • Support the creation of engaging, informative, and user-friendly content for the employee intranet and across the HR content ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with content strategists and designers to draft and edit content.
  • Work closely with UX research and design teams on content-related tasks
  • Provide logistical and administrative support across EXD teams as needed and as available.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for content improvement and innovation.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in content management or creation in product, marketing, or tech organizations, agencies, or freelance is a plus (coursework or internships required; professional experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with content management systems is a plus.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of UX principles and content strategy is desirable.
  • Strong writing skills and command of the English language (grammar, spelling, and vocabulary).
  • Interest in UX writing.
  • Ability to adhere to brand voice, tone, and style requirements.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects; adaptable to ever-changing priorities. Ability to collaborate, seek clarity, and work independently to execute on tasks.
  • Willingness to help teammates and learn from them.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to maintain high levels of output.
  • Openness to receive feedback/constructive critiques as well as provide it.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Able to communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential objections, and persuade others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.
