Job description

Our Customer’s mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Through their family of apps and services, they are building a different kind of company that connects billions of people around the world, gives them ways to share what matters most to them, and helps bring people closer together.

We are seeking a UX Researcher on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote, but would be ideal to have someone close to an on-site location who would be willing to come on-site once a month. New York is the first on-site preference, but open to others as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to define and deliver impactful generative AI experiences
  • Develop and execute comprehensive research roadmaps aligned with product goals and timelines
  • Lead research efforts across the full product development lifecycle, including discovery, study design, execution, synthesis, and insight delivery
  • Identify latent user needs and translate findings into actionable insights that inform product strategy and prioritization
  • Influence product execution and go-to-market planning through data-driven research insights
  • Coordinate and manage external research vendors to ensure high-quality research outcomes
  • Facilitate rapid feedback loops on generative AI prototypes to enable fast, insight-driven iteration
  • Synthesize complex findings into clear, compelling narratives for diverse stakeholder audiences

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional research experience
  • Proven ability to independently lead research projects from inception through insight delivery
  • Extensive experience designing and executing qualitative research studies to support hypotheses and product decisions
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to drive alignment and momentum
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make informed decisions

Preferred:

  • Experience conducting research related to AI or generative AI technologies
  • Expertise in advanced quantitative research methodologies and analytics

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.
