Job description

We are seeking a UX Researcher on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in NYC.



Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers within an integrated product pod to develop new products
  • Develop and execute research roadmaps both independently and collaboratively
  • Lead research studies across all phases of the product development lifecycle, including formative, iterative design, and evaluative research
  • Conduct user research to uncover latent needs and validate early product concepts
  • Support product strategy, execution, and go-to-market planning through research insights
  • Manage external research vendors to scale research efforts and support team priorities
  • Synthesize research data into actionable insights that inform product decisions


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human behavior-related field such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics
  • Strong expertise in research methodologies across formative, iterative, and evaluative phases
  • Proven experience developing and executing research roadmaps
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to use quantitative insights to support hypotheses
  • Experience contributing to product strategy, execution, and go-to-market planning

Preferred:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong storytelling skills to present insights and influence diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and balance competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience managing external research vendors
