Job description

Our Customer’s mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Through their family of apps and services, they are building a different kind of company that connects billions of people around the world, gives them ways to share what matters most to them, and helps bring people closer together.

We are seeking a UX Researcher V on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.

The team is a mixed-methods research group supporting Product Risk & Compliance. This position sits as an individual contributor reporting into the research leadership for the group, embedded with a product workstream and partnered with Compliance and Policy stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope and run mixed-methods studies (interviews, diary studies, surveys, concept and usability evaluation) on how people understand and respond to risk, safety, and compliance-related product experiences.
  • Own studies end-to-end: research plan, participant criteria and recruiting via preferred vendors, fielding, analysis, and share-out.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data (survey analysis, weighting, descriptive and inferential statistics) and triangulate against qualitative signal and product logs.
  • Translate findings into recommendations that XFN partners can act on, and socialize them beyond the immediate product team.
  • Maintain research documentation and handoffs so work is picked back up cleanly when FTEs return from leave.

Qualifications:

  • Independently designs and executes mixed-methods studies, choosing appropriate methods to answer the research question, and adapts when constraints change.
  • Quantitative competence: survey design and sampling, data cleaning and weighting, and analysis using standard statistical techniques (a scripting/stats tool such as R, Python, or SPSS).
  • Qualitative depth — leading and adapting varied qual methods, and evaluating assumptions and inferences to produce objective, actionable recommendations

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Experience conducting international or multi-market research.
  • Experience working with in-house survey platforms and large-scale behavioral/log data alongside primary research.
  • Years of Experience: 10+ Degrees/Certifications
  • Required: Bachelors: HCI, psychology, sociology

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.
