Job description
Our Customer was founded in 1982 in an effort to create a solid accounting firm headed by native professionals. They later branched out to other services, which is now a multinational professional services network with offices in over 150 countries and territories around the world. With more than 100,000 professionals, they provide audit and assurance, tax, consulting, and risk and financial advisory services to a broad cross-section of the largest corporations and governmental agencies.
We are seeking a UX/UI Designer on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
This role will work with the User Experience Research & Design team to research and design interfaces for metric dashboards and web application products. You will collaborate closely with other designers, product owners, and development teams to design interfaces and interactions across multiple products within the Raytheon Digital application portfolio.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with product owners, stakeholders, architects, developers, and (of course!) users to deliver optimal user experiences for applications and metric solutions.
- Conduct, analyze, and organize user research, document user goals, decisions, information needs, tasks, and workflows.
- Plan, execute, and extract insights for:
- User and stakeholder interviews
- Personas and Jobs to Be Done (JTBDs)
- Usability evaluations and assessments
- Storyboards, journey maps, user flows, and wireframes
- Design artifacts for communication, specification, and testing
- Design solutions; mockup and prototype interactions
- A focus on modular, reusable design
- Write Agile development user stories
- Communicate and present work effectively
- Support the broader UX team in identifying and implementing UX best practices and accessibility standards
- Champion user-centered design and design thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a User Experience (UX) designer, interaction designer (UI), or similar role
- Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design/prototyping tools
- An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and ability to quickly learn new tools or concepts
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to manage ambiguity
- Ability to multitask across multiple projects
- Comfortable collaborating in a dynamic, distributed team environment
- HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Angular, and JavaScript
