Job description

Overview:

Our Client is looking for a Web UX Designer to help conceptualize and develop assets for a broad range of deliverables across our website and other digital platforms. We are looking for someone who can deeply understand our product, the technology/science behind it, and the target audience (moms or moms-to-be). You will be responsible for researching user behavior, designing wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure intuitive navigation and usability. Your expertise in UX/UI design principles, web design trends, and accessibility standards will be crucial in enhancing user engagement and satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the DTC/ecommerce team, with a focus on designing assets for the Willow website and occasionally supporting lifecycle (email) initiatives
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to identify user needs and pain point
  • Translate team ideas and requirements into wireframes then into final deliverables for landing pages (including PDPs, content based landing pages, homepage, and so on)
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using tools like Figma,
  • Adobe XD, or Sketch
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless design implementation
  • Create responsive and accessible web designs that adhere to usability best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and technologies, as well as ecommerce trends and Shopify platform updates
  • Collaborate closely with E-commerce Director and Art Director

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of web design experience
  • Strong proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and/or prototyping software
  • Strong skills in ideating and conceptualizing
  • Portfolio that demonstrates thought process and relevant work examples
  • Creative and strategic thinking capability
  • Excellent typography, layout, visual hierarchy, Photoshop + image comping skills
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Successfully communicate and present ideas, detailed design, and design rationale, both verbally and visually with different stakeholders
  • Experience with Illustration, Iconography, Infographics, Video, Motion Graphics and other dynamic tools is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with trends in video, digital design, UX/UI, mobile, print, and typography
  • BA in Design, Interaction Design, or other relevant field
