Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.
Our customer is looking for a Vendor Governance Consultant on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote.
This role will support Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) in executing vendor management processes and procedures to meet leadership and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in ensuring data integrity, program execution, reporting, and backend process efficiency to keep the supplier governance program running smoothly. This role will also contribute to supplier onboarding, performance monitoring, compliance, and risk mitigation while identifying opportunities for optimization and value creation.
A strong emphasis is placed on data integrity, program execution, reporting, and backend process management to maintain operational efficiency. This position also plays a key role in onboarding critical suppliers and identifying opportunities for optimization and value creation.
Responsibilities:
- Execute vendor management processes within the supplier governance framework.
- Monitor supplier activities to ensure compliance with governance and performance standards.
- Maintain data integrity, reporting, and documentation to support leadership decision-making.
- Manage backend processes critical to the supplier governance program efficiency.
- Assist with onboarding critical suppliers and collaborating with business partners to establish governance best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and value creation with supplier partners.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively via phone, video conference, and email.
- Experience in analyzing contract terms and conditions.
- Background in business analysis, vendor management, or supplier governance.
- Demonstrated ability in data analysis and generating insights.
Preferred:
- Experience developing and implementing scalable processes.
- Familiarity with analytics dashboards and reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of contract performance management practices.
