Job description

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Vendor Relations Manager to join the team and play a key role in fostering these relationships.

As a Vendor Relations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring the supply chain runs smoothly and cost-effectively, while maintaining the high standards that our company is known for.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and Manage Vendor Relationships: You’ll be the key point of contact between the company and their trusted vendors. This means managing existing relationships and finding new opportunities to grow with our vendors, ensuring they meet our quality standards and align with our business goals.
  • Negotiate and Manage Contracts: You’ll have the opportunity to negotiate contracts that ensure they are getting the best value. You’ll review and renew agreements, making sure the terms work for both sides and drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Monitor Performance: Tracking and evaluating vendor performance will be a big part of your role. You’ll look at key metrics like product quality, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness, and provide feedback to help us all improve.
  • Problem-Solve and Ensure Smooth Operations: Sometimes things don’t go as planned—and that’s where you come in. Whether it’s a late delivery, a quality issue, or a miscommunication, you’ll work to resolve problems quickly and effectively, ensuring our operations continue to run smoothly.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: You’ll work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure they are always aligned on budgets, forecasts, and vendor expectations. Your ability to communicate and collaborate across departments will make you a key player in our success.
  • Drive Cost Management: You’ll help manage vendor budgets and find ways to save costs without compromising on quality. Your ability to analyze vendor pricing trends will be key to keeping our operations efficient and cost-effective.
