Job description

Our Customer is an American computer and consumer electronics company famous for creating phones and computers. As one of the largest companies globally with a market cap of over 2 trillion dollars, it is a major leader in the space. Although this company was founded in 1976 it has transformed how we connect and communicate worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced Video Metadata Curator on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role will support the Video Curation team’s efforts so that we can cover live sporting events for MLB and MLS. This role is a hybrid setup (onsite 3 days a week) in Culver City, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be involved in a high volume project for digital media content (sports, movies, TV).
  • You will leverage your background and knowledge to perform the following tasks:?
  • Catalog content based on a descriptors to match and connect to like content.
  • Work with others to help make discovery of linked sporting events.
  • Verify content accuracy, ensuring it meets the provided standards.
  • Make edits/fixes when needed.
  • Report any patterns or issues observed to help improve database and product performance.

Qualifications:
  • A passion for and deep knowledge of the sports content landscape including news and industry trends as well as history of sports.
  • Proven ability to maintain motivation and solid focus through hours of repetitive tasks.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Sharp problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills.
  • Creative and having self-directed passion for media/entertainment.
  • ability to negotiate challenges and deal with ambiguity.
  • Team player and communicating well with others.
  • Consistency in quality of work.
  • Degree not required but preferred in: Media, Film, Communications, etc.
