The Mom Project is excited to support Etsy with their search for a Video Producer to work with them on a contract basis.
About the Role
Etsy is seeking an innovative Producer with deep visual background to build engaging social content that brings the brand to life in meaningful ways. In this role, you’ll drive development of visual strategies and frameworks for paid and organic social content across multiple platforms and formats. Reporting to the Head of Etsy’s Video Content Studio, you’ll bring a mix of creative expertise and platform fluency to concept compelling static and video assets that perform. You'll help unlock what connects with buyer audiences—optimizing content to move the needle at every stage of the funnel. You’ll work closely with our team of producers, creators, designers and brand strategists to deliver content that’s both engaging and effective.
This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, design, organic and performance marketing — ensuring that every piece of content not only achieves creative excellence, but also is effective in driving engagement, conversation and conversion.
Availability
Local candidates preferred, must be available to work out of our Brooklyn headquarters as needed (we are typically in the office 2x per week). Remote applicants will also be considered.
What does the day-to-day look like?
- Lead development and execution of visual strategies across full funnel paid and organic social content, including both static and video assets
- Work within Etsy’s brand guidelines to conceptualize and create content packaging for original social campaigns, translating ideas into platform-specific executions that feel native to each channel
- Lead visual direction for our video productions, concepting creative toolkits and templates as well as stylistic direction for physical sets.
- Pitch and develop new visual formats informed by cultural and platform trends and competitive insights
- Oversee development of static and visual templates , offering clear and actionable feedback while upholding high creative standards
- Partner with our Paid Content and Brand teams to understand campaign objectives and translate them into compelling visual strategies
- Mentor a growing team of creative freelancers, including designers and copywriters
- Continuously test and iterate on creative approaches and formats to improve performance
Qualities that will help you thrive in this role :
- 8+ years of experience producing digital and social media content, with a strong understanding of paid social advertising
- A strong grasp of brand identity and how to translate it into social executions
- Fluency in platform-specific creative best practices and paid formats, particularly for Meta, Pinterest and YouTube
- Ability to balance creative vision and storytelling with performance marketing objectives
- Deep knowledge of the social media landscape: you’re immersed in social content trends with a pulse on cultural conversations
- Experience managing freelance creative talent
- Exceptional time management and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and motion tools
- A portfolio showcasing elevated, social-first brand storytelling
- A passion for supporting small businesses, creativity and craftsmanship
