Job description

**Current Virginia license (we cannot wait for the months-long admission process) is mandatory. Other states are a plus, but Virginia is absolutely required.**

12-person law firm based in Washington DC seeks an employment litigation attorney to take the leading role on cases.

Most of the clients are plaintiff-side individuals, but we do have some defense-side work as well.

You will be 100% remote, with fully flexible schedule.

Average hours expected can range between 5 to 20 hours per week, depending on what you want.

We have virtual firm meetings every week to discuss case strategy and support, but otherwise you can work whenever and wherever you like.

This temporary position can be extended indefinitely if the relationship is working for both you and the firm.

In addition to hourly compensation paid at the end of each calendar month, the firm will provide you with an encrypted email account, secure file storage, timekeeping software, Westlaw access, phone answering service, physical mail forwarding, professional headshot, VPN for data security, physical meeting space in DC if you need to meet with clients in person, and malpractice insurance coverage. You will also be able to use our paralegal and admin staff for basic formatting tasks etc.

At least 4 years of post-graduation experience as an employment lawyer required, with a focus on dispute resolution and litigation in EEOC and state/federal courts.

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.

If you are a person with a disability needing assistance with the application, or at any point in the hiring process, please contact us at support@themomproject.com.
