Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Warranty Claims Analyst to help support their business needs.
This role will support the Warranty Cost Recovery team by performing in-depth investigations into individual warranty claims. This role is responsible for identifying and resolving data gaps that prevent accurate supplier attribution. The ideal candidate brings investigative skills, familiarity with automotive systems, and the discipline to work through claim-level reviews that feed into broader recovery strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Review individual warranty claims with missing or inconsistent information
- Identify patterns and root causes that lead to unmapped or misattributed claims
- Enrich claim data by leveraging repair procedures, service bulletins, and part traceability
- Collaborate with recovery leads and supplier quality engineers to validate findings
- Document repeatable logic and insights to inform automation and scaling efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in warranty, quality, or service operations within the automotive industry
- Strong critical thinking and investigative skills
- Familiarity with dealership repair documentation and vehicle diagnostic codes (DTCs)
- Excellent documentation and data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
- Proficiency in Excel required; Power BI experience a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to work through contract systems, read notes, etc.
Hours and Location:
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
- Hybrid Role - Warren, MI
