Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Warranty Data Analyst to help support their business needs.
This role will help expand and scale mapping logic for supplier attribution across large datasets of warranty claims. This role takes insights generated by root cause analysis and builds data queries and logic rules to identify similar unmapped claims in bulk. Ideal candidates will have strong pattern recognition skills, experience in data manipulation, and an interest in automotive systems and cost recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Translate manually resolved claim logic into scalable mapping criteria
- Analyze large datasets to identify similar claims with incomplete information
- Apply business rules to enrich and attribute unmapped claims
- Collaborate with recovery leads to validate logic and document mapping assumptions
- Track recovery value unlocked through mapped claims
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, warranty operations, or cost recovery (preferred)
- Experience with large datasets and strong pattern recognition capabilities
- Proficiency in Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
- Understanding of automotive warranty processes and supplier attribution is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and problem-solving mindset

- Someone who has analytical skills - pivot tables, graphs, etc.
- Someone who can read, review, and understand 15,000+ lines of data
Hours and Location:
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
- Hybrid Role - Warren, MI
