Job description

The Wealth Advisor is the relationship manager for our clients and the first team member our prospects meet in the office. The Wealth Advisor is primarily responsible for developing, retaining, and growing client relationships along with delivering comprehensive planning and exceptional client service.

  • Full-time, W-2 position.
  • Office hours: M-F: 9 am – 5 pm, flexible work hours
  • Location: In-Office <> Hoffman Estates, IL
  • Compensation: $80k-$120K based on experience
  • Ideal Candidate: A CFP, currently/historically working as a Wealth Manager

Requirements:

  • 5+ years providing financial planning services to clients. Previous experience in a client-facing role as a Wealth Manager
  • Professional Designation: Certified Financial Planner
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or financial planning
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be professional and demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members
  • Strong analytical skills are required
  • Ability to simplify complex financial data and present it to clients
  • Discernment to make critical decisions independently
  • Strong self-discipline, ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines
  • Proactively address opportunities and client’s needs
  • Demonstrate competency to follow multiple-step systems and processes
  • Tech-savvy. We use software and spreadsheets for all aspects of our planning process.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Develop, deliver, and present comprehensive wealth management advice including retirement analysis, tax planning, estate planning, education funding, insurance analysis, charitable giving, employee benefits, asset allocation
  • Provide proactive client communication and promptly respond to client requests
  • Quarterly client review phone calls and annual meetings
  • Attending client meetings with other professionals (Estate Planning, Tax Preparer, Insurance Agent, etc.)
  • Meet with prospective clients, develop a relationship, explain our service model, and answer any questions necessary for them to determine if our firm is a good fit
  • Collaborate with team members to provide excellent client service
  • Mentoring and teaching team members in various aspects of wealth management
  • Demonstrate and enforce compliance through adherence to policies and procedures
  • Support short-term and long-term business goals for the firm
  • Attend weekly, quarterly, and annual team meetings
