Job description

The Website Designer and Digital & Social Media Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to align website and digital strategies with overarching marketing and enrollment objectives.

The responsibilities are to develop and ensure that the website effectively supports and enhances the school's branding, promotions, and marketing campaigns.

This role involves continuous auditing of the website for updates and performance optimization.

The role also includes building and maintaining a social media presence that engages constituencies, promotes the school, and integrates with the web and digital strategy and objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

Web Design and Maintenance (50% initially)

  1. Conduct competitive analyses, usability studies, and other quantitative and qualitative research to create a web and digital strategy and roadmap.
  2. Build a visually appealing, intuitive, and interactive website using Finalsite.
  3. Implement usability principles to continually enhance the user experience.
  4. Implement and utilize SEO best practices in design projects.
  5. Apply data analysis skills to optimize design outcomes.
  6. Utilize analytics to measure the success of design implementations.
  7. Evaluate and modify the web strategy and roadmap on an annual basis implementing applicable changes.
  8. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school’s website, ensuring it is up-to-date, visually appealing, and user-friendly.
  9. Develop and manage a system to manage website-related requests across the organization, coordinating timelines and deliverables.
  10. Create, update, and adhere to a website style guide.
  11. Monitor website performance using analytics tools, gather insights, and prepare reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
  12. Continuously assess and enhance the website's user experience by conducting usability tests and incorporating feedback.
  13. Support the integration and management of e-commerce functionalities, ensuring smooth transactions and secure payment gateways.
  14. Address technical issues promptly, liaise with IT teams, and provide support to users experiencing difficulties on the website.

Digital Marketing (25% initially)

  1. Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns across various platforms.
  2. Utilize Google Ads to optimize online advertising campaigns.
  3. Create visually appealing content.
  4. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  5. Design graphics for digital assets and marketing materials.
  6. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports to assess the success of campaigns.
  7. Optimize conversion rates through effective strategies.
  8. Analyze data to measure campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.

Social Media (25% initially)

  1. Coordinate all aspects of our social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  2. Develop and execute an effective social media strategy that aligns with the school’s identity and web and marketing objectives.
  3. Develop compelling and relevant content for our social media channels, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
  4. Create visually appealing and shareable content that aligns with the school's tone, style, and messaging.
  5. Update profiles, respond to messages and comments, and engage with our audience to build a strong online presence.
  6. Identify trends, insights, and emerging platforms to maximize our reach and impact.
  7. Monitor social media analytics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate regular reports to assess the success of campaigns.
  8. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
  9. Actively build and engage with our online community, initiate and participate in conversations, and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages meaningful interactions among our followers.
  11. Stay up to date with current social media trends and relevant topics to leverage opportunities for engaging content creation and timely responses.
