Job description
Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.
Our Customer is seeking a highly motivated Web Strategist on a contract basis to work on international web projects and select US web projects.
You will collaborate with cross-functional peers to create and optimize compelling, effective, and innovative web experiences that deliver impactful results for the sellers and support the growth of the business. This includes contributing to the design and optimization of the public web experience across key stages of the seller journey
You will work closely with stakeholders across Product Management, Product Marketing, International Marketing, Communications, Brand, Demand Generation, Marketing Analytics, and Creative to support and improve web experiences. This role reports to the Head of Product for Acquisition. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Drive web strategy in partnership with Growth Product and Marketing to define goals, objectives, and KPIs across all of the web surface areas.
- In partnership with the Product and Web Strategy Leads, you will be responsible for hitting key KPIs for Public Web across the entire business, and developing a vision and strategy for the channel that achieves the best seller experience both through short-term optimizations and long-term growth.
- Develop and implement web initiatives alongside partner teams with an eye towards business performance and conversion while upholding the brand equity
- Contribute to the strategy and optimization of critical website pages and flows
- Shepherd best practices based on web tests and overall web strategy best practices across the entire organization.
- Partner with SEO on overall site performance, goals, and opportunities to optimize around organic search, including overall site architecture and page content.
- Collaborate with Product to drive the Public Web team's product roadmap
- Partner with Analytics and Experimentation on web measurement tool strategy, implementation, and usage across the Public Web team to inform broader web strategy and optimizations.
- Work with User Research and Insights to lead customer-based research requirements
- Employ outside-in perspective with regular user testing, voice of the customer research to inform design solutions, and iterative optimization
- Use analytics to manage performance and identify traffic patterns to improve conversion
- Develop requirements necessary to deliver the solution and work with technical resources on scope necessary to provide solutions (MVP, trade-offs, balance short- and long-term)
Qualifications:
- BS/BA required
- 7+ years of experience in marketing with an understanding of web standards and optimization
- Experience identifying target audiences and building website experiences that inform and motivate users to encourage them to move through the funnel
- Experience optimizing and testing websites, landing pages, and the user funnel with expertise in conversion rate optimization
- Knowledge of web analytics and goal setting
- Working knowledge of front-end and back-end web development, and the design limitations and capabilities of both
- Knowledge of best practices for modern B2B websites
- Demonstrated knowledge of SEO fundamentals and how they interplay with website technology, architecture, and content
Big Pluses:
- Experience working with a content marketing team, or on projects that take a content marketing approach
- Experience in marketing automation tools and SFDC
- Previous experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on SaaS
