Part-Time Wix & WordPress Website Specialist (Remote)

Our client is a thriving company looking to expand and need another talented team member to join us! Marketing - including website development and tech solutions - is just one part of our thriving business, and we’re looking for a skilled Wix & WordPress Website Specialist to help us support our clients effectively.

They are a dynamic team that provides strategic solutions to law firms across the nation, including marketing, website management, legal tech, bookkeeping, consulting, and more. As they continue to expand, they're looking for a detail-oriented team member who can help ensure seamless functionality and a strong online presence for our clients.

What You'll Do

  1. Help team take Wix and WordPress websites live, ensuring domain settings and hosting configurations are correctly set up.
  2. Troubleshoot website functionality issues, plugin conflicts, and other technical challenges.
  3. Regularly update WordPress plugins, monitor security, and maintain site stability.
  4. Implement content and design updates as needed.
  5. Work collaboratively with team to improve website performance and resolve technical issues.

Who You Are

  1. Experienced in Wix and WordPress, including domain setup, hosting, and site launches.
  2. Comfortable troubleshooting common website issues (plugin updates, page errors, broken links, SSL setup).
  3. Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in problem-solving.
  4. Able to work independently while also being a valuable team player.
  5. Available for 10-15 hours per week with flexibility.

Required Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of experience working with Wix and WordPress website development and maintenance.
  2. Strong understanding of domain setup, DNS configurations, and taking websites live (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).
  3. Experience troubleshooting common website issues, including broken links, slow loading times, SSL errors, and plugin conflicts.
  4. Proficiency in WordPress plugin management, including updates, compatibility checks, and security best practices.
  5. Familiarity with website backups, performance optimization, and basic SEO to ensure smooth functionality.
  6. Ability to edit and update content, adjust website layouts, and make minor design tweaks using Wix and WordPress page builders (Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, Wix Editor, or Wix Studio).
  7. Experience with Google Analytics and website tracking tools to monitor site performance and resolve issues.
  8. Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and problem-solve technical issues.
  9. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  1. Familiarity with WooCommerce and e-commerce integrations in WordPress.
  2. Experience working with cPanel, FTP, and hosting migrations for WordPress sites.
  3. Basic knowledge of CSS and HTML for styling and minor customizations.
  4. Understanding of accessibility best practices for websites.
  5. Experience integrating third-party tools (CRMs, email marketing platforms, chatbots, etc.).
