Job description
Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.
Our customer is looking for a Workday Learning and Development Training Specialist on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. The Workday Training Specialist supports the organization by developing job aids, training decks, and recorded walk-throughs for end-users of Workday. The person in this role will make an impact by giving our employees the resources they need to confidently navigate Workday and leverage the data, automation, and functionality available to them.

What you’ll do:
- Develops clear, engaging content and reference material to provide both new and experienced users with the information they need to be successful.
- Responds quickly, professionally, and with a consultative focus to requests for training or reference material. Maintains good communication on progress, roadblocks, and options.
- Gathers feedback from HR users, employees, and people leaders around pain points and areas of opportunity and crafts a plan to meet those needs. Sets appropriate expectations on timelines and adheres to agreed-upon deadlines.
- Partners with configuration specialists and project managers to update documentation as processes and configuration change.
- Manages Workday team knowledge base to ensure critical knowledge-sharing opportunities exist and information can be accessed on demand by all relevant partners.
Must Haves:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience creating training material for adult learners, especially related to systems and processes.
- A foundational knowledge of HR systems, processes, metrics, and standard methodologies (experience developing training/documentation for HCM systems in general, and Workday in particular, is strongly preferred but not absolutely necessary).
- Comfort level with basic design principles for job aids and training decks - the ability to independently create crisp, clean, compelling content with clear formatting and a solid sense of aesthetics
- A need to get things done, a proven sense of urgency, drive, ownership, and accountability; organization and project management skills
- Resourcefulness and a knack for navigating challenges independently, with the ability to manage conflict and difficult partners, strong prioritization skills, excellent customer-service orientation

Hours & Location:
M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
